Recreational Bluefin Fishermen Take This Online Survey

All recreational bluefin tuna fishermen should take this short on-line catch data survey.  This is a highly important survey to collect an accurate picture of what recreational bluefin tuna fishermen are seeing on the water over the last four years.  Data collected by this survey will be prepared for NOAA and submitted as a comment in response to the ESA petition.

Aerial View Of Bluefin Tuna That Nobody Counts



Feedback from the NJ ESA meeting and now from today's Boston meeting, there continues to be a lot of discussion on bluefin encounters.  Encounters can be bluefin that are caught (killed/releases/tagged/broken off) but also bluefin that are just seen but not caught.  Fishermen are reporting observing bluefin of all sizes as they drive their boats to other grounds as well as spotter planes that see vast schools of smaller fish that commercial boats can't… Continue

ESA NJ Hearing Comments / Copy of Bluefin Presentation
