Tomorrow USA Announces CITES Position

"Please join us for a congressional briefing tomorrow morning regarding the U.S. position on a proposal to list Atlantic bluefin tuna under Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
When: Wednesday, March 3 at 9:30 a.m.
Where: U.S. Capitol Building, Room HC-6

U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Guess this is it folks! The votes are in and tomorrow we will find out if the USA will move to protect bluefin or let ICCAT have one more chance. Regardless of the outcome I do hope enforcement is addressed and remains the key issue going forward on catching, buying and conserving the bluefin stocks. Save The Bluefin!
